Preparing For Installation
The way parts are packed and shutters labeled may vary somewhat, but the basic information applies to all. All necessary hardware and parts will be provided with the order. Use the labels to match up panels with frame and windows. Shutter frames assemble effortlessly and installation is stress free. What normally takes two people to build and install can easily be done in minutes by one person with little to no experience.
We will send you installation instructions for your order, but this video and the others shown here give a good overview of what is involved. For more information Go Here.
If using the “Clearview” option, the front tilt bar is eliminated for a more open view. Clearview is a tilt bar in the back of the shutter, off to one side, so will not block the view. An additional 1/2″ of depth clearance is required for this feature. We also have “hidden tilt or “gear” where no tilt bar shows on the shutter. You simply move one louver by hand, and they all move.
The video above was put together by a Canadian dealer of Eclipse shutters and gives a good illustration of one of the reasons we prefer these shutters: durability. While freight damage can happen when shipping, we have very few issues because these shutters can take getting knocked around much better than a wood shutter or a composite shutter.
